The meaning of Pearls & Diamonds consist of various means. Pearls symbolize peace, love, harmony. Diamonds are pretty, but they are rough. People only want diamonds for what they see on the outside; no one is interested on how that diamond has been made.
The overall theme of the book is about overcoming obstacles, just trying to stay focused, regardless of what happened or how it happened - still being able to say, “I made it.”
