AN UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIANCE - BARACK OBAMA VISIT TO VIRGINIA!

The brisk cold weather caused everyone to bundle up while waiting so anxiously in a long line that wrapped around downtown Norfolk and Harbor Park for miles. At that moment, I’ve already began to see change.

The line got longer, and the wind blew that much more, resulting to it getting colder, but that did not stop people from coming and it most definitely did not push anyone away. On every corner or stop, someone was either selling Obama T-shirts, cups, car magnets, hats, buttons, etc. People proudly represented and showed their support for Obama in so many ways! The time slowly passed us by but it was all worth the wait. Everyone waited patiently in line, excited at the highest level. The sound of everyone talking and laughing with one another just made me feel like I was in the right place. We then started to finally approach Harbor Park after being in line for so long to the point that you couldn’t even see Harbor Park at all. The line was backed up to Granby Street.

After being in line for a hour and a half, everyone begun to get hype as we were able to see Harbor Park, We made it, we got in finally! We then waited an additional forty five minutes for Obama’s arrival. I noticed all the snipers on the roof tops, top notch security, helicopters hubbering the area, and police in boats, not to mention Norfolk police department EVERYWHERE! I was thinking to myself, “This shit is real!”

The moment had finally introduced itself to what we all had been waiting for. The crowd went wild and cheered as Barack Obama walked out to introduce himself, but of course, we all know Obama! It took a while for the crowd to settle down but it was a wonderful sight and unforgettable experience. As he began to speak, the crowd settled to listen in on all the important aspects of the economy’s down fall and his plans to get it back on track, the need in better health care, giving tax breaks to 95% of hard working citizens, better education for our children, cutting back on taxes and the plan he had for Wall Street. He was very dedicated and put all of us at ease in a high hope for change! While covering all the important aspects, he had charm and added a little humor that kept everyone laughing. As Obama’s speech came to an end, everyone was so hype, energetic, motivated, and COLD!!! He left us to believe in CHANGE and that it will only start by electing him as the president of the United States.

I must admit, this has been one of the best experiences in my life thus far and I wouldn‘t trade this experience for nothing in this world. I have been apart of history and this will be an experience that I will be able to tell my children and grandchildren. I stood in line for a hour and a half, nervous and thinking that I would not be able to get in. I never seen so many people in my life to attend one event. This rally made me feel so motivated and highly anticipated on the fact that Barack Obama will be the President of the United States. WE NEED CHANGE!!!!!

I hope everyone get out and vote on election day, November 4, 2008! We need change and you have the ability to help make that change. VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA!!!!!

Cheating....Why do we do it?

I use to always wonder why people decide to commit to relationships but then cheat on their partner. When it comes down to sex and fidelity, 60% of men and 51% of women believe they’re not having enough sex. You’d think that if over half of each gender wants more sex there would be some coming together on this front but this is one of those areas where clear communication is often lacking.
Recently I've conducted a survey for my Psychology Human Sexuality class. I wanted to dig deep and get a better understanding of this issue that occurs more than we all think they do. I've sat down with a couple of men and women and asked various questions. Based on the answers that came out of this research, I’ve gotten a lot of similar answers by both men and women. I was although actually surprised to have more men that was willing to take this survey than women. Now that I think about it, women are secretive anyway, so that makes sense. According to this survey, the main reason for cheating was lack of communication! Due to the lack of communication, the second main problem comes into play on why people cheat. With no communication, someone would be left out on what the other person want or need. If they don’t know what the other person want, need or desire….they feel like they would have to go to another person to get what they are lacking. So therefore, it all goes back to communication, which is the most important element in a relationship other than trust.
This blog basically just scrach the surface but in psychology, it goes deeper than you think!

Risque Talk - From the author

Its all about taking a risk. I decided to give the readers something that will open up the imagination and heighten their senses. I wanted to give the readers a taste of some of my personal experiences with a mixture of my vivid and creative mind. A few may be shocking but this is what you call me entering a new phase, or a new dimension. I have matured and increased my ability to talk about some of the things most people are afraid to mention and things people try to avoid. Risqué enabled me to express my passion and sexuality on various aspects. Its all in the maturity that I have developed. My sensual mind provided you with heart racing poetry that will leave you astonished. I´ve opened a box full of kept secrets along with stories that have been developed into fictional tales. I wanted to include some real tales along with some that will leave you wondering and keeping the readers on the edge of their seats. Not knowing will penetrate your mind and leave you full of evoking interest. Risky situations define this book of compelling stories. The meaning of Pearls & Diamonds consist of various means. Pearls symbolize peace, love, harmony. Diamonds are pretty, but they are rough. People only want diamonds for what they see on the outside; no one is interested on how that diamond has been made.
The overall theme of the book is about overcoming obstacles, just trying to stay focused, regardless of what happened or how it happened - still being able to say, “I made it.”
